Horsewatch Scotland launched on October the 1st 2010, using this opportinity to invite a number of Equine Security Specialists to exhibit and to demonstrate the capabilities of their security solutions live to the audience. Ideal CCTV ltd presented the Germany manufactured High-Tech Megapixel CCTV System. There was overwhelming interest, so much that one of the technical comentators was left with a ho(a)rse voice organ, at the end of a weeks worth of explaining.
The most attracting product was a Mobotix M12 Megapixel Night and Day camera, which commands amasing capabilities for stand alone operation in a stable. It can for example create High-Definition Video and Photos under Day and Night contitions, but also make emergency warning phone calls, send e-mails or text messages with attached snapshopts or video clips, detect moving objects in light and dark, listen for suspicious noises, or simply be used as a two-way-audio means of communication through the internet. In other words : a complete stand alone security, alarm, CCTV and communication system that can be operated and viewed even from the remotest location. Also the representatives from the eight Scottish Police Departments where visibly impressed and left with not a few business cards.
The entire event was a success. Several other highlights were live freeze-branding and a horse-rescue demonstration, utilising a mechanical horse. We wish Horsewatch Scotland a successful start into a very helpful service to the equine community in Scotland!
